Ancient America 5 images Created 23 Sep 2015
After a sudden burst of inspiration followed by a rather long spell of very interesting projects that barely touched in the realm of my photography mainstay, I’m back with a new project that embraces a new set of principles I’ve been incorporating into my life – chiefly minimalism. I wanted to present a new series of images that are far from my usual style of highly polished, intensively edited photographs of wildlife and landscapes from around North America. For this project, I wanted to keep things simple, forget the editing almost completely and break my work down into their barest essentials. Forgoing even color and touch-ups, I’m aiming for a grainy, imperfect, rugged approach that portrays a more primal, eternal and partially portentous Ancient America.
