Buckhorn Cholla (Cylindropuntia acanthocarpa)
Skeletal remains of a long-dead buckhorn cholla cactus still stand in the Sonoran Desert in the Alamo Canyon, deep in the Ajo Mountains of Southern Pima County, Arizona near the Mexican border.
