Avalanche Lily
A lone avalanche lily photographed in the rain late in the summer season on the southern slope of Washington's Mount Rainier. It is easily distinguished from its close relative the fawn lily by the fact that the leaves are uniform green, and not mottled like so many other members of the Erythronium genus.
